You Never Forget Your First

This project will always hold a special place in my heart. It was my first collaborative shoot and I met vendor professionals who have become some of my favorite friends. The grounds were stunning too! Hartley Botanica is a glorious garden wonderland complete with rainforest feels and cool, neutrals all across their grounds.

 

The Custom Suite

The backstory for the couple made the creation of this suite even more special. They’d married quickly and never had a chance to celebrate their wedding with a full ceremony, so this shoot gave them a change to bring their wedding dreams to life. With the fall theme, I knew I wanted to introduce neutrals into the suite and accented it with brown ink for the custom calligraphy on the envelopes. Ya’ll know by now that wax seals are my jam, so of course I added one of those. The icing on the cake is the e.e.cummings poem, “I carry your heart with me.” If you haven’t read that poem, run, don’t walk. It’s the perfect dedication for the bride and groom who are madly in love.

 

All the Elegant Details

In addition to creating a one-of-a-kind suite for Christian and Mercedes, I was also able to make them custom table numbers, bespoke place cards, bride and groom vow books, guest favor boxes, and individual menus. I kept everything in the neutrals palette with little pops of gold to add depth and gravitas.
